A bug's life


So again there was a bug in the code, he had to accept that he was about to miss one more family dinner today. Work never spared Piyush.He would not be boarding his conventional 7.49 CST local today. A mumbaikar knows the importance of 7.49 local and 7.51 local, he thought. He informed his mom about his undesired situation. With sadness on both sides the phone was hung. He went back to his desk and started resolving the bug of the day!Few minutes later, there was an announcement in the ODC that "Dear Associates, You are not allowed to leave the office premises until further announcement. Thank You. We request you to be patient and cooperative." Piyush and his colleagues thought there might be some technical issues in the building. He was expected to be ignorant about the announcement and so he was. Half an hour later, the speakers got turned on. This time the announcer was worried. With tense in his tone he said "Please do not panic, there has been a terrorist attack on CST station 45 minutes ago. They mercilessly fired the commuters who were strolling and waiting for the train. We request you to make a phone call to your colleagues who left at that time, to ensure that they are safe."They were dropped safely to their homes later by office cabs. Next morning he read the headlines "26/11: The men who fought back at CST station"He wondered what would have happened if he left the office at usual time.

 Bug saved his day!
